Meet Makenzie Darling
Visionary | Community Builder | Marketing Maven | Entheogenic Minister
Makenzie Darling is a bridge between worlds…where strategy meets soul, and where ancient wisdom fuels modern movements. A lifelong seeker and movement builder, she has dedicated her career to helping visionary leaders transform bold ideas into global impact.
Makenzie began her journey at Suffolk University in Boston, where she studied Communications, Fine Art, and Women’s Studies. However, like many purpose-driven entrepreneurs, her career started in the wrong lane. For 15 years, she navigated the high-pressure world of ed-tech software sales and marketing, mastering the intricacies of business and brand-building. Yet, behind the veneer of success, her soul was suffocating. She knew she was meant for something greater.
That moment arrived when she stepped into a role as Producer of Character Day, an initiative funded by the John Templeton Foundation to promote positive psychology and character development using documentary films worldwide. Over the next three years, she helped transform this vision into a global movement, expanding Character Day to over 5 million participants across 125 countries and forging partnerships with organizations like Facebook, the U.S. State Department, and the NYC Department of Education.
Her impact didn’t stop there. She led social impact campaigns for an anti-bullying organization, working alongside ESPN, Major League Baseball, and the X Games. She played a key role in launching a digital wellness initiative for children, which debuted at the United Nations with partners including Hasbro, Scholastic, Facebook, and AT&T. Later, she joined the Thank You Plant Medicine movement, amplifying the psychedelic renaissance, and supported the World Happiness Foundation in launching its global festival.
Amid these large-scale initiatives, Makenzie was also undergoing a profound personal transformation. Her path led her deep into indigenous medicine work, traveling to the Amazon to study with Shipibo healers and immersing herself in mushroom ceremonies with a Zapotec family in Mexico.
She collaborated with leading figures in the psychedelic renaissance, playing a key role in the development of a renowned psychedelic church, where she underwent an intensive two-year training to become an Entheogenic Minister. Simultaneously, she deepened her expertise in transformational work, earning certifications as a life coach and Enneagram facilitator, while immersing herself in the profound practice of ancestral healing.
Described by many as a “unicorn” for her rare fusion of business acumen and deep spiritual wisdom, Makenzie is not just a strategist…she is a guide for those ready to create movements with both purpose and integrity.
